HEXO THC Beer

Coming in a short glass with tons for personality, this 355mL bottle only has 30 calories.

A crisp refreshing cannabis beer that is easy to sip and leaves a great body high even an hour after use.

To me, the taste was more bland than expected. With all the recent hype up of the Mollo by HEXO, cannabis infused beer. Ingredients list:

Carbonated water, malted barley, sugars (high maltose corn syrup), calcium chloride, cannabis emulsion (glycerin, ethyl alcohol, water, polysorbate 80, modified palm oil, sunflower lecithin, THC distillate, CBD distillate,) hops, lactic acid, caramel (for colour), calcium sulphate, salt, phosphoric acid, natural flavour

So while I’m not sure, this product is the next beer— I do know any adaptation and growth in the cannabis industry is extraordinary and should not be taken for granted. Not even 5 years ago none of this was possible.

Is Cannabis Infused Beer Legal?

After years of waiting, THC infused near-beer is now available in British Columbia, Alberta and other provinces. Canada got the green light back in mid-October 2019 but Licensed Producers weren’t able to start product because of the mandatory 60-day notice period imposed by the Canadian government.

Finally, after years of waiting, yesterday I was able to purchase my first legal cannabis beer available on Vancouver Island.

Cannabis Infused Beer Doesn’t Contain Alcohol?

Yup, that’s right, cannabis and liquor regulations in Canada actually state they can’t be sold as a mix or even sold in the same building. That doesn’t mean it doesn’t smell taste or look like it, because it does.

Well, What’s the Point If There’s No Alcohol In It?

Totally get that; this product is definitely for those with a deep love for hops and herb.

Perfect for pairing with a high class dish like you would a nice wine. The main objective of consuming a beverage is to enjoy it.

With the regulations for edibles in Canada being very very strict. LPs are forced to max out the dose at 10mg THC per package; making it difficult for long time or daily consumers to feel the effects. Before the shut down of illegal Cannabis outlets 10mg was considered a very small dose.

“Mary’s brownies were 200mg and I would eat three of them before feeling the effects as a long-time cannabis consumer.” Says Cannabizzzjane

Mello by hexo; cannabis infused beer contains 5mg/THC and 5mg/CBD making it suitable for those looking for low micro doses, don’t use cannabis regularly or are instead looking for health benefits from the CBD.

Not a beer fan? Try cannabis infused carbonated beverages instead.

Perfect for those looking to not smoke or stop smoking cannabis.

Eating Marijuana can be great but if wanting to be social walking around with your THC brownie might not be the best option. Instead, to opt for a lemon THC infused beverage by Houseplant founded by the one and only Seth Rogen.
